"When I first met you, I know you're the only one for me." "This is going to sound crazy, but...from the moment I first set eyes on you, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you."
What a BS!
Love at first sight is not easy to explain! Some people (that's me!) even deny that it is possible! Indeed, how can we fall profoundly in love after one quick glance? How can such a glance make us believe that we want to spend the rest of our life in the arms of a stranger we have just seen for the first time? I still don't get the answer!
My mom told me that LOVE, is one of the first emotions that we experience, regardless of what your definition of love is. It could have been when your parents first held you in their arms or it could have been experienced when you chased your playground crush and scraped your knees in the process. Love can be what you feel when you take a spoonful of an ice-cream right out of the fridge after a long day or the feeling you get when you watch a bunch of handsome guy and you felt a tingling feeling in your heart and yet, you claimed that's love. (I'm a huge fan of Kpop and I once told her I would like to marry them. Lol!)
Then she told me ''it doesn’t matter who or what it happens to be with, but the understanding that it's there and that it's real is all a part of the human growth process." While love is the first emotion you experience, it is often a wonder of when exactly it happens with the people you meet.
I told her I didn't believe these because how can you possibly know that he/she is 'the one' right after you meet them and she answers "sometimes when you fall into a level of comfort with someone, you can ask yourself, “When did I fall in love with you? When did it happen?” It could have been sixth months or one year into a relationship with someone, or even the minute you met them. The idea that you can fall into love at first sight is something that should be embraced when it does happen."
I know that love grows over time, there’s no question about that but it’s not quite an emotion that can be felt automatically, or can it? All I know is love at first sight can often be romanticized in various television shows and movies, like Kdramas (Lol!)
But there's somebody out there claiming that there is a gut emotion you get when you see someone for the first time, that can be ever so telling as to where your relationship with them will take off.
I bet you can’t quite say you love this person yet or that you are in love with them. You know this even if you don’t want to admit it. I guess part of you just wants to know them, to learn who they are, and how you can be a part of their life. Am I right?
"Love at first sight is what brings you into someone’s life and you into theirs. Love at first sight is how you can see that there is something more to this life than trying to find someone to understand you, because at the end of the day, there is a possibility that person is there and understands you more than yourself. You might have met that person yesterday."
"The thing is – love just happens. It just does. You can’t quite explain it, but it exists and often times the potential of falling in love with someone happens within the first glance."
To be honest, I still can't believe it! For me, love at the first sight is a myth. I do believe in love because I'm surrounded with the people I love and they showered me with love. It's just that I still didn't get the prove at love at the first sight ever exist! Ugh whatever! It's not important. What matter the most is you've to shower people with love and love will come back to you.
Alright. I'm done! I got to go! I've to clean up my room and I've to pack my things. Semester 5 starts tomorrow and I'm so excited! Although there's no class tomorrow, I thought of coming to Unisel to settle my add drop course. It's been a while and yeah I'm excited! I'll be back so stay tuned!
Love,
W.
